Ask Me About My Moustache

This year the team at Magnetite took part in the Moustache growing charity month Movember to help raise awareness for men's health issues such as depression and prostate cancer.

Managing Director, Adrian Lafleur said 'seeing as most of our staff are male we wanted to support this charity that uses a bit of fun and humour to raise awareness on some serious issues that affect our sons, brothers, fathers and friends.' During the month of November for every client that donated $50 to the Magnetite Sydney team we matched it, raising over $1000 in donations for the Movember Foundation.

There was a race on in the factory to see who could grow the best soup strainer, with the honour going to one of the owners of the business; Ben Lafleur. Ben said 'I know people who have been affected by prostate cancer, so Movember is a great way show support for a serious cause, but also to have a laugh.'

The Movember Foundation is an annual charity event held during November to increase awareness for men's health issues. Participants are encouraged to grow moustaches as a ribbon by which to 'change the face of men's health'. All funds raised are donated to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and Beyondblue- the national depression initiative.
